Today, I want to delve into a transformative idea that is a guiding force in my life: the conviction that I have the power to shape my reality. It’s not just about focusing on the bright side or thinking happy thoughts—it’s about holding a strong, unwavering belief that I am in command of the way I feel and, therefore, the frequency and vibration I emit to and attract in the world.

In simple terms, raising your vibration means consciously choosing your emotional and energetic state—because that state shapes what you experience and attract.

What Does “High Vibration” Actually Mean?

Every single thing in our universe is energy. We are radiating a frequency (a vibration) at ALL times. And the beautiful thing is – we are in command of what that frequency is! How high my vibration is, how strong it is, and how easy it is to keep it high—and how easily I can raise my vibration when I get knocked off—comes down to a few simple things.

The 3 Keys to Raising Your Vibration

  1. UNWAVERING BELIEF – that I AM a creator; that I can and will manifest what I desire; that I determine my frequency; that GUS (God/Universe/Source) is ready to shower me with more and more and more of whatever I radiate.
  2. DECISION – deciding and committing to how I want to feel.
  3. DISCIPLINE – to choose that feeling over and over and over.

Easy right!? It can be! But of course, life often presents us with moments that test our conviction… that distract from our decision…that sway us from our discipline. Perhaps someone cuts you off in traffic, triggering frustration or anger. Or maybe your partner does something—or doesn’t do something—that irritates you. Financial stress, an overwhelming to-do list, or unexpected setbacks can all create emotional turbulence, pulling us away from our chosen state of being.

And I’ll be honest—this is something I practice right alongside you, in real, everyday moments.

In these moments, it’s easy to let these experiences dictate our emotions. But it’s precisely at these times that our conviction to choose what we believe and how we want to feel is most powerful. If we don’t, we are owned by those “circumstances” for as long as we allow ourselves to be. Our frequency lowers. We are no longer aligned with what we desire. The more we allow ourselves to be owned, the longer we stay “stuck,” and the more out of alignment we get. To the point that we are now attracting the opposite of what we desire!

Do you see the power you hold? Your belief in this creates a strength in your frequency.

So how do you actually raise your vibration and stay aligned throughout the day?

Here are a few practical steps to keep your frequency strong and to raise your vibration in real time throughout the day, even in the face of challenges. Yes, there is some repetition here on purpose.

Let’s recap and make this practical.

  1. Decide how you want to feel:
    Take a moment each morning to choose the emotions you want to embody. Whether it’s happiness, relaxation, or joy, make a conscious decision about how you want to feel. This sets the tone for the frequency you will carry throughout the day.
  2. Commit to your choice:
    Say out loud, “I COMMIT to this (feeling) today.” This verbal affirmation reinforces your decision and sets a clear intention for your day, raising your vibration to match your desired state.
  3. Interrupt negative thoughts:
    When a thought or emotion creeps in that doesn’t contribute to the feeling you’ve committed to—like irritation when someone cuts you off in traffic or stress about your finances—take a relaxing breath and say “no,” or choose another word like “cancel,” “out,” or even something playful like “zip zap.” The goal is to interrupt the thought and remind yourself of your choice, redirecting anything that doesn’t serve your chosen state and maintaining your frequency. Just like Neo in The Matrix finally seeing the ‘code,’ raising his hand, saying “no,” and watching the bullets fall at his feet—you are in charge.
  4. Reaffirm your choice:
    After interrupting the negative thought, reaffirm your decision by saying, “I CHOOSE (happiness).” This reinforces your commitment and helps you stay aligned with the feelings you want to cultivate, keeping your vibration high.
